Prayagraj: The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the arrest of SHUATS officers in case crime number 64/2023 lodged by STF Uttar Pradesh at Police Station Naini Prayagraj in connection with embezzlement of government grants.
Media in-charge Dr. Ramakant Dubey told that there was no irregularity of any kind of government grant in SHUATS. He said that based on objections raised in the special audit, STF Uttar Pradesh registered a case against the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and other officials of SHUATS at police station Naini Prayagraj, whereas the compliance report of all the objections raised in the special audit has been sent by SHUATS. The SHUATS authorities had filed a petition number 9001/2023 in the Supreme Court of India. Hearing on which, the bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Dipankar Datta has ordered a stay on the arrest of SHUATS officers in the said case registered by UP STF.
