Prayagraj: Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj successfully organized an inter-university competition on 30-11-2024 to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and National Unity Day. The program was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh. In his presidential address, he said that the work done by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to unite India is a source of inspiration for today’s youth. He highlighted the relevance of Sardar Patel’s thoughts and inspired the students to adopt his ideals of unity, perseverance and dedication to the nation. Coordinator of the program, Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Dean Student Welfare, in his address, threw light on the life and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and while congratulating the successful organization of the first and second phases of the competition, said, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a symbol of Indian unity. The role he played in the freedom struggle and the integration of the princely states of the country always inspires us. His vision and determination created an organized and strong India. Today’s youth should imbibe his principles and ideals and contribute to the progress of the country.”
Three competitions were organized in this program – speech, poetry writing and essay writing. The students demonstrated their creativity and skills and underlined the importance of national unity. The main objective of the program was to develop national consciousness among the students and inspire them to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
In the program, Dr. Pradeep Tripathi, Dr. Gautam Kohli, Dr. Priyanka Saxena, Dr. Utkarsh Upadhyay and Dr. Ajit Singh played the role of judges. On this occasion, many dignitaries of the university, faculty members and students were present. At the end of the program, the winners were awarded. Afreen Khan of Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj won the speech competition, Aayushi Tripathi of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj won the poem writing competition and Vanshika Singh of Bhatkhande Sanskrit University, Kaiserbagh Lucknow won the essay writing competition. The program was conducted by Shivani Singh, Research Scholar, Hindi Department.
