Heart thrilled after seeing folk dances on Muktakashi Manch
Prayagraj: Especially traditional dance goes deep into the soul. Art lovers had a similar feeling in Prayagraj. On Sunday, the first day of the National Crafts Fair organized by the North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, a rainbow of dances thrilled the audience. One dance after another forced the audience to keep clapping. Indian traditional dances were presented on stage with great skill by the artists. Different postures, different ways of tapping the feet, everything was such that it would remain in the minds of the city residents for a long time. The pandal full of spectators was telling how deep their love for Indian culture is. The thunderous applause kept increasing the enthusiasm of the artists. The occasion was the inaugural day of the 12-day National Crafts Fair organized by North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Prayagraj, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This event is being organized in the Shilp Haat of the Cultural Center complex. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the leaders of art groups from different states.
Cultural presentations tied the knot – The first presentation of the program was done by Pavitra Mahapatra and his team from Odisha with conch blowing and Chadaiya dance. After this, Nitul Chotia and his team from Assam enthralled the audience by performing Bihu dance. Bhajan singer Bhupendra Shukla made the pandal devotional by presenting Jai Ganpati Vandana, Ram’s name on the lips, now I have handed over all the burden of this life in your hands and Sai Ram, Krishna Rahman, Sai Geeta, Ved Puran. Subodh Parmanik and his team from Jharkhand presented Paika and Chhau dance to the tune of dhol, nagara and shehnai. Nadeem Raine and his team presented Badhaai and Naurata dance and received a lot of applause. The audience remained glued to their seats from the beginning to the end of the program. On this occasion, a large number of spectators including all the officers and employees of the center were present. The program was conducted by Dr. Abha Madhur. The artists added color to the Shobha Yatra – different languages, postures, amazing dances in attractive costumes and the presentation of Kali Swag was such that every resident of the city kept staring at it. Someone was taking selfies with the artists participating in the procession and someone was dancing with them. Starting from the Shobha Yatra Center premises, it reached Subhash Square via AG Office, where the artists were given a grand welcome by Civil Lines Udyog Vyapar Mandal President Neeraj Jaiswal, famous singer and General Secretary Swati Nirkhi, Regional Councilor Pankaj Jaiswal and other businessmen.
