Prayagraj: December 3 is celebrated as Disability Day all over the world. On this occasion, the World Disability Day celebration organized by the Childhood Day Care Center in collaboration with “Satwik” organization was celebrated with great pomp at the Government Blind Hostel CPI Campus, Prayagraj. In this colorful program, Satvik Sanstha honored disabled children. International Day of Disabled Persons is celebrated every year on 3 December. The year 1981 was declared as the “International Year of Persons with Disabilities” by the United Nations General Assembly in 1976. Disability Day is celebrated with the aim of fostering compassion, self-respect and support for persons with disabilities to improve their lives. Its objective is to promote the rights and welfare of people with disabilities in all sectors of society. Apart from this, the aim is to increase awareness about the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. On the occasion of International Disability Day, small innocent disabled children of Bachpan Day Care Center gave a beautiful and amazing cultural program. In the function, children enthusiastically participated in competitions like Group Dance, Rangoli, Art and Fancy Dress, Chhu Ke Pehnaho, Sui Dhaaga etc. and won the hearts of everyone with their presentations.

Secretary of Satvik Sanstha, Mohammad Afzal, the chief guest of the program, Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Prayagraj Division, Ashok Kumar Gautam, who is presiding over the program, District Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Prayagraj, special guest Komil Dwivedi, Department of Backward Classes Officer, Secretary of Satvik Sanstha, Mohammad Afzal presented the corset. Also, the guests present at the program and Shagufta Askari of Satvik Sanstha, Jai Narayan Tiwari honored all the participating children with awards. Coordinator Chandrabhan Dwivedi conducted the program. On this occasion, professors, students of Uttar Pradesh Rajshree Tandon Open University, all the teachers of Bachpan Day Care Center and officials of Satvik Sanstha were present.
