Prayagraj: Scientific awareness program against superstition was organized by District Science Club Prayagraj under the aegis of Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh at RP Rastogi Intermediate College Malakharhar Prayagraj. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Subha Srivastava Principal Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Govt. On lighting of lamp and picture of Maa Saraswati by PG College Prayagraj and District School Inspector Prayagraj Mr. Ajay Pratap Singh. Dr. Pramod Mishra demonstrated the scientific facts behind superstition experiments like preparing a big garland from just two flowers, making a gold chain by waving hands, lighting a fire, cutting a rope and joining it etc. to the students. On this occasion, poster and slogan competition was also organized. Welcome song and Saraswati Vandana were presented by the students under the leadership of music teacher Mrs. Priyanka. In the slogan, Shalini Rai of St. Anthony Girls Inter College got first place and Trupti Mishra of IKM Inter College, Anapur got second place. Place and image of Jagat Tarang Girls Inter College got third place, similarly in the poster competition, Poonam Pradhan of Jagat Tarang Girls Inter College got first place, RP Rastogi of Inter College got first place. Sakshi Soni got second place and Piyush of District Panchayat Inter College Ugrasenpur got third place. The winning students were given prizes and certificates by the District Science Club, Coordinator District Science Club Prayagraj and Principal of the school, Dr. Lal Ji Yadav. Gratitude was expressed to everyone. The program was conducted by Dr. Rajesh Tiwari.
