Prayagraj: For the last 2 months, D.El.Ed. State President Rahul Yadav has been meeting all the public representatives of the state to register his protest against the school merger campaign being run by the Uttar Pradesh government and has submitted a memorandum regarding the merger. The objective of this protest was to highlight the ill-effects of the policy of integrating primary and upper primary schools, and to get new recruitment of teachers started in the Basic Education Department.

State President Rahul Yadav says that the integration of schools will adversely affect the education of students in rural and remote areas. The state government had ordered the closure of many schools, due to which children had to travel long distances. Today, Rahul Yadav has expressed satisfaction over the statement of Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh. It is worth noting that today the minister has announced that schools with more than 50 students and located more than 1km away will not be merged, the order for merger will be cancelled. D.El.Ed. BTC State President Rahul Yadav demands that the state government should soon issue an advertisement for new primary teacher recruitment in Basic.
