Cantonment Board’s new step in social service

Providing free education to underprivileged children

Prayagraj: Adding a new chapter in the field of social service, the grand inauguration of the non-governmental organization Swadesh Seva Sansthan was held in Prayagraj. On this occasion, Brigadier Roby Kapoor, President of Cantonment Board Prayagraj, Mohammad Sameer Islam, Chief Executive Officer, and Captain A.K. Sinha were prominently present. The primary objective of the Sansthan is to provide free education to underprivileged children in slum areas and guide them towards a brighter future. Established on 17th December 2020, the organization has been actively engaged in various social initiatives despite several challenges.

At present, around 50–60 dedicated volunteers of the Sansthan are regularly providing free education to nearly 350 children through its three branches in Prayagraj—Bhardwaj, Sandipani, and Sangam. Along with education, the Sansthan also organizes health camps, social awareness programs, and impactful campaigns such as “Winter Warriors”, through which warm clothes are distributed to the needy. Acknowledging this noble initiative, the Cantonment Board Prayagraj has constructed a shed to ensure uninterrupted learning for the children. Additionally, a large steel cupboard and a trunk have been provided to safely store the children’s study materials.

Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Roby Kapoor and Mohammad Sameer Islam appreciated the efforts of the institution and described it as an inspiration for society. The Sansthan was founded by Sachin, whose tireless efforts and commitment continue to take this movement forward with dedication and zeal.
