New Faculty Development Prog Also Announced

Prayagraj: The Directorate of Development at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) is set to organize a two-day national conference on “National Education Policy: Growth of Agriculture, Science and Technology” on September 11 and 12, 2025. The conference aims to bring together leading experts, policymakers, and academics to deliberate on the transformative role of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India’s key sectors.

The event will be inaugurated by SHUATS Vice-Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal, who will also serve as the Chief Guest. The conference will be graced by a host of distinguished guests, including Honorable MLA Harsh Vardhan Bajpai (Prayagraj City North), Prayagraj Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Deputy Secretary ICAR Rajesh Jha, DG UPCAR Dr. Sanjay Singh, and State Officer NABARD Dr. Anil Kumar.

The conference will feature a comprehensive two-day agenda designed to facilitate in-depth discussions: Day 1 (September 11): The inaugural session will be followed by two specialized technical sessions where participants will present research and share insights.

Day 2 (September 12): The second day will feature three technical sessions, culminating in a valedictory session to summarize key recommendations and outcomes.

This conference is expected to provide a crucial platform for fostering collaboration and developing actionable strategies to align academic and research initiatives with the national vision for sustainable and inclusive growth in agriculture, science, and technology.

Additional Academic Event: Adding to the university’s academic calendar, the Directorate of International Quality Assurance and Assessment (IQAA) will also organize a 21-day Faculty Development Program (FDP). The program, titled “Adoption for Ensuring High Quality Education and Research in Higher Education Institution,” will begin with its inaugural function on September 10, 2025, in the Conference Hall of the College of Forestry. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal, will be the Chief Guest for this event as well.
