Prayagraj: On 9th September, the Men’s Union protested against the Railway Co-operative Bank which is being managed by the Men’s Union itself, in order to divert the attention of the shareholders and for its own personal interests. While making the above allegations, Indian Railway Employees Federation’s General Secretary Manoj Pandey said that the Divisional Minister of the Men’s Union, Shri DS Yadav was the Vice-Chairman of the Railway Co-operative Bank but has been declared ineligible for ignoring the bank bylaws and working on two posts in a fraudulent manner. During his tenure as the Vice-Chairman, Shri Yadav got his niece, Smt. Richa Yadav, who was junior to the other employees of the bank, promoted out of turn to ₹4600. According to sources, it has also come to light that Smt. Richa Yadav, being the niece of Men’s Union’s Divisional Minister Shri DS Yadav and granddaughter of Men’s Union’s General Secretary Shri RD Yadav, comes to duty late and leaves early; sometimes she comes after several days and signs.
Comrade Manoj, as per information received from sources, said that Mrs. Richa Yadav was absent without getting leave approved, due to which her salary was deducted in the month of August. There was pressure from the Divisional Secretary and General Secretary of the Men’s Union that as the Railway Co-operative Bank is run by the Men’s Union, the salary of Mrs. Richa Yadav should be paid immediately, otherwise a protest would be organized against the bank administration. However, the bank administration did not succumb to the pressure and asked to get the leave approved as per rules, and paid the salary only after taking the leave application. Angered by this, the leaders of the Men’s Union organized an attack against the bank administration and protested to mislead the shareholders of the bank and to pressurize the bank administration.
The General Secretary of the Employees Federation and Workers Union informed that the General Secretary of the Men’s Union has opened ten to twelve accounts of his family in the Railway Co-operative Bank along with the Union’s account in which irregular transactions take place and the money collected as donations by the employees is used for personal purposes. The Workers Union and the Indian Railway Employees Federation condemn this and send information regarding this to the Central Registrar of Co-operatives and the Reserve Bank of Lucknow and demand immediate and just action.
