After lighting the lamp and worshipping Saraswati, the program was started with the national song Vande Mataram. The program was presided over by the school’s Principal Mrs. Purnima Choubey, while it was conducted by Mangalam Branch Secretary Mr. Sunil Srivastava and the vote of thanks was given by the school’s senior teacher Mrs. Vineeta Srivastava. First of all, the branch president Mr. V.P. Gupta briefly informed the people present about the Bharat Vikas Parishad and the background of organizing the “Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan” program. The council’s provincial general secretary Mr. Amit Shyam informed the people present. The students then performed the traditional tradition of Guru Vandan (religious worship) by applying roli-chandan (vermilion) to eight teachers, showering them with flowers, and finally touching their feet. They were honored by presenting them with Angavastram (a sacred thread). The Mangalam branch had organized another annual “Know India” competition for students at the same school a few days earlier. The Principal and other teachers, along with the branch president and provincial general secretary, felicitated and encouraged the winners and most meritorious students by presenting them with educational materials provided by Mangalam, useful for their studies. On this occasion, the students welcomed the guests with a beautiful welcome song and also performed a beautiful Saraswati Vandana in dance form, which was applauded by all.

On this occasion, Mr. Dheeraj Srivastava, co-secretary of the Vivekananda branch of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, was present, along with other local figures. Approximately 60 students from the school participated in the event. The program concluded with the national anthem.
