Prayagraj. As part of the “National Invention Campaign,” the Basic Education Department, Prayagraj, organized a grand and successful district-level science quiz and science model exhibition competition at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Prayagraj. The program’s objective is to develop a scientific outlook, logical reasoning, a spirit of innovation, and creativity in students in grades 6 to 8.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Chief Guest Rajendra Pratap, Deputy Director/Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Prayagraj, and District Basic Education Officer. In his address, he said, “The National Invention Campaign encourages children’s curiosity about ‘why, how, and what.’ This curiosity lays the foundation for future scientists, engineers, and innovators.” Brilliant students selected from all development blocks of the district participated in the competition. Students presented innovative and useful models on topics such as AI robots, smart city models, environmental protection, water conservation, solar energy, waste management, and sustainable development. The students’ confidence, presentation skills, and scientific understanding greatly impressed the audience and the jury.

Winners of Science Model Exhibition: After a tough competition, first place in Science Model Exhibition was secured by Nancy of UPS Mohaddinpur, second place by Sufian Ahmed of UPS Ghoghapur, third place by Shivani of CS Meja, fourth place by Surya Prakash of Berui Bahria, fifth place by Anamika Yadav of KGBV Gohari Soraon.

Sixth place went to Arpit Patel of UPS Kheksa, seventh place to Rohan of UPS Bhanori, eighth place to CS Neebi Anshuman, ninth place to CS Kishunpur Neeraj, and tenth place to Shivam of CS Barauna. While Mohammad Ayan of Fatehpur Higher Primary School, Sangherpur development block, was awarded a special prize.

In the science quiz competition, students demonstrated their intellectual abilities by answering questions on science, mathematics, and general knowledge. After a tough competition, Dhanpur Block secured the top spot. Participants presented scientific solutions to grassroots problems through their projects, which were particularly appreciated by the jury.

Students who placed first, second, third, fourth, and fifth in the competition were honored with tablets, educational bags, books, and certificates. To encourage the winners, plans were also shared to send them on future state-level educational trips, such as to ISRO or other major scientific institutions.

District Basic Education Officer Anil Kumar said in his address that such programs develop a positive attitude towards science in students and motivate them towards new technologies and research. Our aim is that children of council schools should also play a leading role in the field of modern science and technology. District Coordinator (Training) Abhinav Singh had a special contribution in the successful conduct of the program. As examination nodal, Vipin Kumar, Antariksha Shukla, National Mentor Shatrunjay Sharma, Anurag Pandey provided active support. On the closing occasion, while congratulating all the participants, teachers and organizers, it was expressed that through the National Invention Campaign, the students of Prayagraj district will achieve new heights in the field of science and innovation.
