Prayagraj: The annual inspection program for the year 2025-26 of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was successfully concluded with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Central Hospital, North Central Railway, Prayagraj. The program commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rakesh Nigam (Principal Chief Medical Director and Additional Commissioner), and Dr. Surendra Nath (Chief Medical Superintendent and Deputy Commissioner). The Chief Guest received the ceremonial salute during the parade presented by the Brigade members. In his address, Dr. Rakesh Nigam stated that the St. John Ambulance Brigade is a selfless voluntary organization that remains ever-ready to provide service and first-aid treatment to employees within the railway premises.
On this occasion, the guests inaugurated a grand photo exhibition showcasing the activities undertaken by the Brigade during the financial year. The exhibition was curated and presented by Dr. S.S. Nayak (Additional Chief Health Director and Divisional Commander, Medical) and Dr. Ashish Agarwal (Additional Chief Medical Superintendent and Divisional Commander, Medical).
During the event, Ambulance Officer Mr. Uday Chand Maurya presented a detailed report of the year’s achievements, while Divisional Secretary Mr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava shared a documentary video highlighting the Brigade’s operations.
Taking a significant step towards the expansion of the Brigade, and in the presence of a team of new members from Kanpur, the officials granted their approval for the establishment of a new branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in Kanpur.
During the program, members who rendered outstanding and selfless service over the past year were honored with certificates of appreciation and mementos. Additionally, a farewell ceremony was organized for Mr. Dinesh Kumar (Divisional Commander, Administration, and Assistant Commercial Manager), who is retiring this month. He was specially felicitated for his invaluable contribution towards strengthening the Brigade.
The program was further addressed by Dr. Prakash Murmu, Dr. Parvez Ahmed, and Mr. K.K. Singh (Divisional Finance Manager and Division Commander, Administration) also addressed the gathering and lauded the spirit of the Brigade. The proceedings were anchored by Mr. M.H. Ansari and Mr. Rajiv Singh.
Divisional Secretary Alok Kumar Verma, along with Ratan Kumar, Om Prakash, Rajiv Diwakar, Pawan Kumar, Amit Kumar Maurya, and other members, made a significant contribution towards making the event a success. Retired officers Mr. A.K. Arya, Mohibullah, Vijay Kumar, and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
