Prayagraj: On the occasion of “World Tobacco-Free Day,” the Regional Prohibition and Social Upliftment Officer’s Office, Prayagraj Region, Prayagraj, jointly with the Civil Defence and Lions Club, organized a grand public awareness rally at the State Park, Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Park, Prayagraj. The program’s objective was to raise public awareness about the ill effects of tobacco and other intoxicants and to inspire the public to work towards a drug-free society. The chief guest was Justice Satyaveer Singh, Judge, Allahabad High Court. Special guests included Mr. Neeraj Mishra, Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Prayagraj; Mr. Rajiv Tiwari, Assistant Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Prayagraj; and Lions Club Lion Arpandhar Dubey, Divisional President, Lion Uday Chandani; First Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Lion Umesh Chandra Kakkar; and Second Deputy Controller of Lions Club, Shitala Prasad Srivastava; Protocol Officer; Member of the Drug Free India Campaign, Mr. Pawan Pandey; Traffic Inspector; and Child Line member and social worker Nitish Shukla. The program was coordinated by Ms. Charul Mishra, Regional Prohibition and Social Upliftment Officer, Prayagraj Region. The public awareness rally was flagged off by the Honorable Justice Mr. Satyaveer Singh. In his address on this occasion, Honorable Justice Mr. Satyaveer Singh stated that the consumption of tobacco and other intoxicants is extremely harmful to individuals, families, and society.
