Prayagraj: Local Congress workers have termed the court’s decision to acquit Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the defamation case involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah as a victory of truth over falsehood.
At a meeting held on Monday afternoon at the party office in Chowk, under the chairmanship of City Congress Committee President Fuzail Hashmi, party members stated that Rahul Gandhi, who they alleged had been falsely implicated at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, had been acquitted by the Special MP-MLA Court in Sultanpur in the case related to his alleged remarks about Shah. Congress workers described the case as a political conspiracy by the ruling party.
