Prayagraj: MP Ujjwal Raman Singh, speaking on the issue of codeine cough syrup in the Lok Sabha today, said that there should be a CBI inquiry into the deaths caused by poisonous cough syrup in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states. MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said that MP Ujjwal Raman Singh, while addressing the Speaker, said that the government should give compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those whose children have died, and a CBI inquiry should be conducted to punish the culprits so that it becomes an example.
