Prayagraj: Former Prayagraj Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi visited the family of deceased Rajesh Kumar Nishad in Madoka village in Naini on Monday. She expressed her condolences and consoled the family, assuring them of all possible help. The former mayor stated that criminals will face no mercy under the Yogi government. Strict action will be taken against anyone who commits a crime. The deceased youth’s family pleaded for security, support, and justice. Recently, contractor Rajesh Kumar Nishad, a resident of Madoka village in the Naini area, was brutally murdered by some unruly elements simply because he had forbidden people from urinating on his father’s grave. Upon learning of this brutal murder, swift action was taken and seven people, including the main accused, constable Sunil Kumar, were arrested and sent to jail. Five others are still at large, and police teams are conducting raids to search for them.
On Monday, former Prayagraj Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi visited Madoka village to meet with the family of deceased Rajesh Kumar Nishad. His mother, Nanki Devi, wife, Sangeeta Nishad, and brother, Shekhar Nishad, pleaded for justice. They stated that Rajesh Kumar Nishad was brutally murdered with an iron rod. The family’s sole breadwinner, Rajesh Kumar Nishad, has been shattered by his murder. Besides his mother, brother, and wife, Rajesh Kumar Nishad has three children and two sisters. They are now left with no expectations of their family. The victim’s family expressed their anguish to the former mayor, lamenting the police’s lack of full support and the pending postmortem report. They demanded protection from the perpetrators and the criminals still at large, as well as assistance for the family’s livelihood.
The former mayor assured them of all possible assistance. She stated that those who violate law and order will not be spared under Yogi Adityanath’s government. The former mayor spoke with the Naini police station in-charge regarding the incident and the investigation. On which the police station in-charge said that the PM report along with the case diary would be sent to the police officers and the absconding accused would be arrested as soon as possible.
