Prayagraj: Due to the efforts of Janhit Sangharsh Samiti, a mentally challenged woman living in Rambagh (Labour) Chauraha area was safely provided shelter in Mother Teresa Home on November 18. The team including women officials Juhi Saxena and Maya Das, Devika Mishra under the leadership of district president of the Samiti Abhilash Kesarwani, Sumit Gupta, Kuldeep Chaurasia Advocate Narendra Tiwari had informed the District Magistrate that the said woman was living at Labour Chauraha for many years. Due to her mental condition, she was being exploited and she gave birth to children on the road many times. The woman was also seen writhing in unbearable pain many times.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, on the instructions of the District Magistrate, with the joint efforts of One Stop Centre’s Centre Administrator Neelisha Yadav, the concerned Police team of Kidganj Police Station and the officials of the committee, the woman was safely shifted to Mother Teresa Home. Today, the team of Janhit Sangharsh Samiti reached Mother Teresa Home and met the woman (Sangita) and inspected the arrangements there. During the inspection, proper care and arrangements in the premises were found satisfactory. The officials of the committee expressed their gratitude to the officials running the home. The committee appreciated the cooperation of the administration and said that such coordinated efforts can provide security and respect to the weaker sections of the society.
