Prayagraj: In the month of Ramadan, one should control hunger and thirst continuously for thirty days and realize how those poor and destitute people must be enduring hunger and thirst who do not have even one meal a day. Fasting in the month of Ramadan does not teach one to remain hungry for Allah but to feel it and to think about the needy, poor, destitute and orphans around oneself every moment and to make arrangements for their food. Maulana Irfan Haider Zaidi, the head Imam of Masjid Arab Ali Khan located in Dariyabad, made the above statement among the worshippers after the Zuhr prayer. He said that when you are hungry after all the food is available in your house and someone hungry comes in front of you, then you will feel his hunger and thirst and you will definitely help him. Those who help maximum number of people in this month of Ramadan get the gift of Eid ul Fitr from Allah Ta’ala after completion of thirty fasts.

Fatima Welfare Society opens its heart to gather good deeds during the month of Ramadan: The Fatma Welfare Society is making arrangements for women and men to break their fasts separately every day. Two hundred and fifteen days have passed since Dr. Naz Fatma, coordinator of the Fatma Welfare Society, started a full meal for ten rupees from Naz’s Kitchen. In view of the Ramadan fast, this full meal plan has been converted into Iftar and dinner. While 200 to 250 people are provided with free Iftar and sealed food packets daily, women and men are being provided with Iftar at different locations. According to Syed Mohammad Askari, while Iftar includes pakodas, chickpeas, peas, papad, fruits, and sherbet, the dinner packets include puris, kachoris, halwa, along with sometimes kadhi rice, rajma rice, and even chola bhature.
