Prayagraj: The Ideal Homeopathic Welfare Organization, Prayagraj unit, organized a scientific symposium at a hotel in Civil Lines. Keynote speaker Dr. R.K. Singh delivered a lecture on liver diseases and their prevention. Dr. Singh explained that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the accumulation of excess fat in the liver that is not caused by excessive alcohol consumption. This can range from simple fat accumulation to more severe inflammation called non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH/MASH), which can lead to liver scarring, cirrhosis, or liver cancer.
He explained that liver health can be protected only through lifestyle changes. Gradual weight loss is the most effective way to reduce fat, inflammation, and scarring in the liver. Liver health can be protected by focusing on a balanced, vegetarian diet, including fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and avoiding sugary beverages, sports drinks, and refined carbohydrates. Dr. Akhil Nigam, Dr. Sunil Kumar Patel, Dr. Rajesh Srivastava, Dr. Zafar Rais Ansari, Dr. Kapoor Chandra Kesarwani, Dr. Shri Bhagwan Kesari, Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Dr. U.K. Singh, Dr. Pankaj Vishwakarma, Dr. Sumit Kumar, yoga guru Dr. Kaushal Kishore, Dr. Devesh Kushwaha, Dr. S.K.
