Prayagraj: A two-day workshop on “AI and Filmmaking” began on August 24, 2026, at the Department of Film Studies, part of the Regional Centre in Prayagraj of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha. The workshop was conducted by filmmaker and Assistant Professor at Apeejay Satya University, Mr. Rajneesh Mishra. On the first day of this two-day workshop, Mr. Rajneesh Mishra explained the use of AI in the initial stages of filmmaking. Using various prompts, students learned about the usefulness of research in filmmaking through AI.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Department of Film Studies and the Department of Mass Communication actively participated in the workshop. The program was coordinated by Dr. Surabhi Viplav, Assistant Professor of Film Studies. Professor Akhilesh Dubey, Academic Director of the Regional Center for Prayagraj, and Dr. Yasharth Manjul, Head of the Department of Film Studies, were also present.
