Prayagraj: The demolition of Sarva Seva Sangh is an attempt to murder democracy, where the books on the practice of Gandhi’s thoughts and the struggle for democracy were destroyed. This is said from Maharashtra in support of the Light the Lamp of Justice program. Comrade Somnath Rode said. In support of the 100-day Satyagraha “Light the lamp of Justice” against the illegal demolition of Banaras Sarva Seva Sangh, the Satyagraha support which was going on from 17th September near the Gandhi statue at Balsan intersection in Allahabad ended on 15th December. This Satyagraha started in Banaras from 11th September and will end on 19th December after completing 100 days. On the occasion of the concluding program in Allahabad, Gandhi Vichar Yatra was taken out, in which the heroes who were involved in the struggle of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi with his message of truth, non-violence, peace-harmony, Sarvodaya, Satyagraha, Jayaprakash Narayan, Vinoba Bhave, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Ram Manohar Lohia, Abdul Kalam Azad, Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Lal Bahadur Shastri, A photo tour of great men like Rajendra Prasad was also taken out.
In the meeting held after the yatra, Vinay Kumar Sinha, a senior social worker associated with Lohia ideology, said that the destruction of Sarva Seva Sangh has been done in an unconstitutional manner; it is an attack on the ideology which establishes and strengthens democracy in India. While presenting his views in the meeting, fellow Professor Ravi who came from Banaras said that Vinoba Bhave had called it a Sadhana Kendra – where the practice of truth, non-violence, peace-harmony, Sarvodaya and Satyagraha will take place. A constructive society will be built through non-violence. Advocate Jitendra Nayak from Congress Legal Cell said that it has been a shameful act to destroy a center from where books on people’s movement and struggle for democracy, books based on employment self-reliance, health self-reliance, village self-reliance were published. Avinash Mishra said that the candles that have been lit are lamps of hope which will unite us. In the concluding address of the gathering, Dr. Santosh Govindi said that there was a struggle with the demolition of this center and why the literature and books that united the country were destroyed. It is very sad to destroy those books which will show the path to the coming generations. The meeting ended with prayer for all religions.
