Prayagraj: Thanks to Imroz Ali’s brilliant knock (82 runs, 52 balls, 12 fours and a six), PWD Prayagraj Super Kings defeated Almighty Eleven by 66 runs in the Abbas-Rai Media Premier League T20 cricket tournament and on the basis of Ayush Tiwari’s brilliant century (105 runs, 62 balls, 13 fours), PCDA Patience Thunder Strikers team defeated NCR Officers by 11 runs and earned full points in the tournament.

Batting first after winning the toss in the first match at KP College ground on Saturday, PWD Prayagraj Super Kings scored 164 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs (Imroz Ali 81, Nitish Sonu Singh 23 runs, Dhirendra Kumar 6/19, Mukesh, Manoj and Alok one wicket each). In reply, the entire team of Almighty Eleven was reduced to just 98 runs in 16.5 overs (Dinesh 24, Alok Yadav 21 runs, Akhilesh Kumar 2/16, Surendra Singh 2/18 Mohd. Athar 2/19). After the match, Deputy Chief Personnel Officer North Central Railway Ashish Sachan gave the Man of the Player award to Imroz Ali.

In the second match, PCDA Patience Thunder Strikers team, batting first, scored 197 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs (Ayush Tiwari 105, Alok Jha 42 runs, Parvez Ahmed 2/42, Abhishek Pratap and Virendra Verma one wicket each). In reply, NCR Officers’ team could only score 186 runs in 20 overs (Rahul Singh 53, Gaurav Luniwal 24, Akash Srinetra 22 runs, Alok Jha 2/30, Ayush Tiwari, Anurag and Munna Kumar one wicket each). After the match, Rajiv Ranjan Agarwal, President Rotary Allahabad, gave Man of the Player award to Ayush Tiwari.
