Prayagraj: The much-awaited Pre-Primary Sports Day of Girls’ High School and College was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement on Saturday at the school premises. The event showcased the joy, energy, and innocence of our young learners. The programme began with a solemn word of prayer, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. This was followed by a warm and inspiring welcome address by the Principal, Rev. Dr. V. Eusebius, who encouraged the children to enjoy the true spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and participation. She also graciously introduced and welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Chhavi Kochhar.
The Chief Guest formally inaugurated the Sports Day and declared the event open. In her address, she appreciated the school’s efforts in nurturing confidence, creativity, and holistic development among the little ones. The theme of the day revolved around imagination, fun, and nature. The programme commenced with a colourful presentation titled “Winged Beauties,” followed by “Welcome to Fairy Land” by the LKG students. Dressed as butterflies and fairies, the tiny tots filled the ground with charm and joy.
A meaningful message on “Protect Wildlife and Preserve Habitats”, conveyed through the performances, reminded everyone of the importance of caring for nature and animals. The children then enthusiastically participated in fun-filled races such as “The Jelly Fish Race” and “Red Hood Trail,” which helped develop coordination, confidence, and team spirit.
Adding a festive flavour to the celebration, a special race themed “Happy Halloween Day” brought smiles and laughter as children appeared in creative costumes and performed with great zeal. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and encouraging words from the Chief Guest, who applauded the efforts of the students, teachers, and parents for making the programme a grand success. The Pre-Primary Sports Day was truly a delightful celebration of energy, innocence, and enthusiasm, leaving behind cherished memories for all.
