Prayagraj: The congressmen condemned the sharp hike in LPG prices by the Government. In this regard a meeting of City Congress Committee held with City president Fuzail Hashmi at the party office Jawahar square on Sunday afternoon. They condemned the Hike in domestic cooking gas LPG price on Saturday by a steep Rs. 60 per cylinder, the second increase in rate in less than a year. The senior Congress leaders duo Kishore Varshney and Harikesh Tripathi said the non subsidized LPG the one that common houses holds use in kitchen will now cost rupees 913 per 14.2 kg cylinder, similarly Rs.110 per commercial cylinder, so the rates to be high in both hotels and restaurants.
Party has sent a letter to the union minister for petroleum and natural gas Hardeep Singh Puri to withdraw the Hike immediately . They said the common man is already stuck in inflation .
