Prayagraj: Ram Navami was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Baghambari Math and the Bade Hanuman Temple at Sangam. The Bade Hanuman Temple featured special decorations, while at the Baghambari Math, Mahant Balveer Giri Maharaj washed the feet of girls. On the Navami date of Chaitra Navratri, on Friday morning, Mahant Balveer Giri Maharaj worshipped Goddess Bageshwari at Baghambari Math. After this, he worshipped the girls in the form of Goddess by washing their feet. He performed the traditional Navami pujan ritual with his own hands. After this, after feeding the girls, he bid them farewell by giving them Dakshina and gifts. At the same time, worship was done at the Bade Hanuman Temple situated at Sangam. During this, devotees arrived from far and wide. The head of the Math, Mahant Balveer Giri Ji Maharaj, performed the rituals along with the priests.
The temple was decorated with attractive lighting. Bade Hanuman Ji was also adorned with a grand decoration. After the morning aarti, a large number of devotees lined up to have darshan of the deity. Bade Hanuman Ji was adorned with jasmine flowers, marigolds, roses, and basil. Mahant Balveer Giri stated that a special puja was held at the Shri Bade Hanuman Temple on the occasion of Ram Navami, the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. A large number of devotees visited the temple to seek blessings from the deities and perform puja.
