Prayagraj: Ashutosh Memorial School, located in Dhanaicha-Malkhanpur, Hanumanganj, organized a “Jalmitra” program to foster social concern and compassion for all living beings. To protect innocent animals and birds from the scorching heat, school children installed water pots throughout the school campus to quench their thirst. Furthermore, large water pots were placed outside the school campus to quench the thirst of mute animals. Inspiring the children on this occasion, school director Dr. Girish Kumar Pandey said that education provides more than just bookish knowledge. Education is meaningful when we develop compassion and kindness for Mother Earth and all living creatures. Ashutosh Memorial School has always been at the forefront of such charitable and compassionate social activities. On this occasion, coordinator Amit Kumar also made the school children take a pledge that they would go to their homes and with the help of their parents, they would definitely arrange for water pots for the protection of the lives of animals and birds. All the teachers of the school not only encouraged the students in this charitable and noble work but also helped them in arranging the water pots. The parents and guardians of the students also extended full support to the children as per the instructions. On this occasion, all the teachers and staff of the college and the parents of the students were present.
