Prayagraj: On Friday at 6:00 PM, the opening match of the Dr. P. K. Sur Memorial Women’s Football Tournament was played between Youngsters Women’s Team and Mirzapur O.I.S Women’s Team. The tournament was inaugurated by former High Court Judge Amit Sheetalkar and Banita Sur. On the occasion, the chief guest honoured Amit Banerjee with a memento. Thereafter, Dr. Amit Sheetalkar and Banita Sur were introduced to both the teams. In the first match, Youngsters Women’s Team registered an impressive 5-0 victory over Mirzapur O.I.S Women’s Team. In the second match, Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium Women’s Team defeated G.T.A Women’s Team by 2-0 and earned points.

The match referees were Sanjeev Singh and Kabir Khan. G.T.A President Andrew Haq welcomed the guests. Four matches will be played on Saturday in the tournament. The above information was provided by Organising Secretary Sanjay Bhattacharya.
