Prayagraj:  The City Congress Committee workers celebrated the 56th birthday of Leader of  Opposition Rahul Gandhi with great enthusiasm. During a ceremony held at Anand Bhavan in the evening, under the president ship of City Congress President Fuzail Hashmi  where a cake was cut and prayers were offered for Rahul Gandhi’s long life and good health.

Congress workers exchanged sweets and expressed that Rahul Gandhi is future of India. They stated that his unwavering courage, dedication to the people, and continuous struggle for democracy and the Constitution serve as a constant source of inspiration. They added that Rahul Gandhi reflects the values and legacy of his father, Rajiv Gandhi, and is widely respected for his honesty, compassion, and straightforwardness. They also noted that he has given a strong voice to the fight for people’s rights and justice.

Later, Congress members distributed fruits and sweets at various hospitals and orphanages. Food packets were also distributed to 56 needy persons on the banks of the Sangam to mark the occasion. Among those present were former spokesperson of the UPCC , Kishore Varshney , Coordinator Harikesh Tripathi, Mukund Tiwari, Parvesh Siddiqui, Anup Tripathi ,Afrooz Ahmed, Rajkumar Shukla Feroz Ahmed, Manas Shukla, Spokesman Shahnawaz Qureshi, Pratima Tripathi , Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Deepak Patel, Tabrez Ahmed, Rakesh Srivastava,Nafees Qureshi , Shyam Yadav, Ahmed Ulla, Deepchand Sharma,Mohd.Naseem, Kameshwar Sonkar Rizwana Begam Keshav Pasi Nasreen Bano Sachin kushvaha, Tabrej Siddiqui and  others were present.
