Prayagraj: Pragati Shukla, a Hindi researcher from Prayagraj, was awarded a research degree on the topic (Musical elements and their popularization in the Bhakti period saint poetry: with special reference to Kabir) by the Hindi Department of Patliputra University, Patna. She completed her PhD research under the guidance of Professor Chhaya Sinha (Hindi – former Head of Department/Faculty, Patliputra University, Patna) and co-director Professor Rita Das (Music – Head of Department, J.D. Omens College, Patna). During this, Pragati Shukla said that her husband, Dr. Surendra Kumar (Associate Professor, Department of Singing, Music and Performing Arts, Allahabad University, Prayagraj), has made a special contribution to this achievement.

On this occasion, Prof. Prabhakar Singh, a scholar from the Hindi Department, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, was present as an external subject expert in the research oral examination. Head of the Department, Prof. Mangala Rani, was present as the Chair along with Mr. Varun Singh (President of Bihar Art and Culture Cell), Librarian Prof. Riti Kumari, Dr. Manisha Sankhdhar, Dr. Radheshyam Suman, Dr. Rekha Kumari, Dr. Amarendra Tripathi, Dr. Surendra Kumar, Dr. Sunil Kumar, etc.
