Prayagraj: On Friday, there was a nationwide strike by UFBU. The shutters of the banks remained closed. A huge demonstration was held at PNB Sangam Palace. Shashikant Srivastava, Deputy General Secretary of PNBPEA UP, said that IBA had made a promise but went back on it. IBA had said that five-day banking would be implemented in the banks but it has not happened yet, a one-sided PLI scheme has been implemented in the banks which was to be implemented only after an agreement with UFBU and we have many pending issues like merging the special allowance with the basic pay etc. Today we are on a nationwide strike regarding these issues. Shashikant Srivastava also said that if our demands are not met then we will go on a three-day strike on 26, 27 and 28 September. AIPNBOA Prayagraj division secretary Sandeep Singh said that if these demands are not met then a nationwide indefinite strike will be held from 26 October.
