Women celebrated Sawan festival with mehndi, music and dance
Prayagraj: Rotary Prayagraj Sangam, dedicated to the joys of Sawan, Indian culture, traditions and women empowerment, organised a grand ‘Teej Mahotsav’ at Hotel Ravisha Continental, Prayagraj. Organised primarily for the women members of the club, this special event was enthusiastically attended by Rotary Prayagraj Sangam’s First Lady Rotarian Vartika Singh, Secretary Rotarian Sadhna Srivastava and all the women members of the club. During the entire event, the hotel premises were decorated with the traditional colours of Sawan and Teej and women participated in the event dressed in their traditional attire. The objective of the event was to connect women with each other, taking some time out from their busy routines, to connect them with mutual interaction, entertainment, culture and traditions.
From the very beginning of the Teej festival, the event was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. The women members applied beautiful mehndi designs to each other’s hands, and the fragrance of the mehndi filled the atmosphere with the spirit of the month of Sawan. The melodious music added to the charm of the event. As the music progressed, the women members couldn’t help but dance and enjoyed the joys of Sawan. Some showcased their talents with solo dances, while others danced in groups, adding to the joy of the event. Amidst laughter, fun, music, dance, and mutual conversation, all the women members spent time with each other and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
The program beautifully blended the traditions of Teej and Sawan with modern entertainment. The enthusiastic participation of the women made the entire event a memorable get-together. The spirit of mutual affection, friendship, and camaraderie among the club members was also evident during the event. Together, everyone shared the joys of Sawan and celebrated the traditional festival of Teej with great joy and enthusiasm.
On this occasion, Rotary Prayagraj Sangam’s First Lady Rotarian Vartika Singh said that festivals like Teej symbolize women’s happiness, mutual bonding, and traditional values in Indian culture. Such events provide women with an opportunity to take time for themselves and share happiness with each other. Rotary Prayagraj Sangam Secretary Sadhna Srivastava said that Rotary Prayagraj Sangam, along with social service, constantly strives to strengthen mutual harmony and family spirit among its members, and the Teej festival is a beautiful example of this spirit.
During the event, the women had a blast with mehndi, music, dance, and recreational activities, making the joys of Sawan memorable.
