Prayagraj: As part of the preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja Mahotsav, Shri Katra Durga Puja Committee performed the Bhoomi Pujan at its new venue on Tuesday. The ceremony was conducted with traditional Vedic rituals and prayers at Saraswat Palace, Standy Road, opposite Police Line Gate No. 4, marking the auspicious beginning of the construction of the Durga Puja pandal. Prayers were offered for the grand arrival of Maa Durga and the smooth and successful completion of the Puja Mahotsav.
Abhinn Varshney, Secretary of the Puja Committee, said that due to certain reasons, Shri Katra Barwari’s Durga Puja will be organised this year at the new venue, Saraswat Palace, Standy Road, opposite Police Line Gate No. 4. He said that with the Bhoomi Pujan, the preparations for the Durga Puja Mahotsav have formally begun. With the blessings of Maa Durga, the festival will once again be celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion and grandeur.
He further said that Durga Puja is not only a symbol of religious faith but also an integral part of our rich cultural and social traditions. With the completion of the Bhoomi Pujan, the construction of the pandal and other preparations will now gain momentum. The committee is making all necessary arrangements to ensure the convenience of devotees and the successful and grand conduct of the Puja Mahotsav.
