Became First Coach of Prayagraj to be honoured with PEFI National Award

Prayagraj: Head Coach of Northern Football Academy, Indranil Ghosh was awarded the Best Technical Official at the 7th National PEFI Awards (Physical Education Foundation of India). PEFI is a national sports promotion organization certified by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India. PEFI organized the event in NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi.
PEFI honored 29 sports teachers, coaches, sports managers, sports technical officials from across the country who made outstanding contributions in the field of physical education and sports. Shri Kunal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports, Government of India, addressed the physical teachers, sports experts and people associated with sports from across the country as the chief guest at the seventh PEFI National Award distribution ceremony of the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFE) on Sunday & honored all along with Indranil.
Indranil has worked as Technical Official and Sports Manager in many National and International Competitions like Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010, Jharkhand National Games 2011, Asian Badminton Championship, Junior Asian Tennis Championship 2012, SAFF (South Asian) International Football Championship 2011, 2015, Inter Audit & AG Football Tournament 2015 & 2017
Apart from this, he has worked as a coach in many national football competitions in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep as well as Allahabad University, Madhya Pradesh.
Recently, Indranil was also the goalkeeper coach of the Tripura team in the Santosh Trophy Senior Men’s and Women’s National Competition. Kunal, Joint Secretary of the Sports Ministry, Khelo India High Performance Manager and Arjun Awardee Yashpal Solanki, Dronacharya Awardee Dr. A. Bansal and Dr. Tapan Kumar Panigrahi, Dr. AK Uppal (former Vice Chancellor of Jiwaji University and Head Laxmibai University Gwalior) and National Current & Former players awarded with various sports awards were present.
