Prayagraj: On Friday, on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the Church of North India (CNI), a special prayer was organized at All Saints Cathedral Church under the leadership of the Presbyterian Incharge of the Church, Pastor Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius. On this occasion, all the people associated with the Church of North India participated. The program started with Call of Worship by Presbyterian Incharge Pastor Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius. After which a special prayer was offered by Pastor Ajit Oliver Francis. In this sequence, the Apostles’ Creed was read by Pastor Dr. Vinita Eusebius, after which a prayer was offered by Pastor Praveen Massey. The program featured special songs sung by the teachers of Bishop Johnson Girls College, Mary Lucas College and Mary Wanamaker Girls Inter College on “Today is the Day Jehovah Has Made” which enthralled everyone. The chief guest of the program was Bishop Morris Edgar Dan of Diocese of Lucknow who said that we are celebrating the 54th anniversary of the Church of North India. On this special occasion today, we celebrate the union of six Protestant denominations who came together on November 21, 1970 to form the Church of North India.

He said that as we reflect on our journey, we are reminded of the faithfulness and guidance of Lord Jesus Christ. We are proud of our heritage and the important contribution we have made to the Kingdom of God. As we move forward, let us resolve to reaffirm our commitment to our mission and vision. May we remain a vibrant and inclusive community by bearing witness to the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. Let us pray for our church, our representatives, and one another. May God bless us and empower us to be faithful disciples and effective witnesses in His world. Diocese of Lucknow Treasurer Arun Paul extended his greetings on the occasion of the 54th Foundation Day of the Church of North India (CNI). CNI is a united church that works to proclaim the good news of the reign of God initiated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and to restore the integrity of God’s creation through continued struggle against it.
