Lucknow: A state level award distribution ceremony will be organized by the Yogi government on World Disability Day (3 December) at Lok Bhavan Auditorium. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present as the chief guest in this special event. The objective of the program is to empower persons with disabilities and encourage their role in society. Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Narendra Kashyap will also be present in it. 19 people will be honored at the ceremony. In the programme, state level awards will be given to outstanding disabled persons, distinguished persons working in the field of disability, voluntary organizations and disabled players. This year Varanasi district has been adjudged the best district in providing rehabilitation services. For this the District Magistrate there will be honoured. Chief Development Officer Moradabad Sumit Yadav will be given a special award for creating a barrier-free environment.

In the non-professional category, Dr. Kaushiki Singh (Lucknow) and in the professional category, Ram Kishan Gupta (Kanpur Nagar) will be awarded for the excellent work done in the interest of disabled people. Santbali Chaudhary (Gorakhpur), Arun Kumar Aggarwal (Lucknow) and Gopal Krishna Tripathi (Kanpur Nagar) will be honored as the best disabled employees. Nai Subah Sanstha (Varanasi) will be awarded for contribution in rehabilitation services and Jan Vikas Samiti (Varanasi) for best innovative research. Manvendra Pratap Singh (Lucknow), Mukesh Mishra (Lucknow) and Swami Pratap Singh (Agra) will be awarded in the inspiration category. ) will be awarded. Along with this, as a creative disabled girl, Ms. Divyanshi Kasodhan (Gorakhpur) and Ms. in the female category as the best disabled player. Pragati Kesarwani (Lucknow) and Deependra Singh (Sambhal) will be awarded in the male category. Lakshmi Shankar Jaiswal, Principal, Sparsh Government Visually Impaired Children’s Inter College (Gorakhpur) will be awarded as the best officer and Prashant Kumar, Senior Assistant, as the best employee. Office of District Disability Empowerment Officer (Kanpur Nagar) will be honored. Awards will also be given to Anoop Kumar Singh (Kushinagar) in the creatively disabled male category and Ritu Patel (Varanasi) in the female category.
