Prayer for peace in disaster that struck Uttarakhand

Prayagraj: On the full moon day of the month of Sawan, a havan yagna was performed along with the abhishek of Banghbareshwar Mahadev at the Baghambari Math on Saturday. Prayers were offered for peace in the disaster that struck Uttarakhand. Mahant Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj said that prayers were offered to Lord Shiva to bring peace to the disasters that struck the country during Sawan.

In the Baghambari Math, the anointment of Lord Baghbareshwar Mahadev is done throughout the month of Sawan. On the occasion of Purnima, disciples and other Mahants from many states performed puja and prayers. A havan yagya was performed for the disaster that had struck the country. On this occasion, Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj prayed to Lord Shiva while performing the havan yagya. He said that through the havan yagya, Lord Mahadev was prayed for the peace of the souls of the people affected by the disaster and for the happiness and prosperity of the country.
