Prayagraj: The fair will be organised on 6th September, Saturday, on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. It is based on the leela of Lord Shri Krishna. Its tradition was started in the year 1893 during the British rule. Following the old tradition, the team of Dadhikando Mela will be taken out under the leadership of Committee’s Patron Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin’s Mahant Shivakant Ji Maharaj, Patron Padum Narayan Jaiswal, and President Councilor Rudra Sen Jaiswal and General Secretary Satendra Tiwari Lal Bhai. As per tradition, before the team, at 7 pm, in the premises of Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin Kidganj, Lord Shri Krishna Balram and Radha Rani Maharani will be worshipped as per the rituals, worship, aarti, vandan and after that
Lord Shri Krishna and Balram Ji and Radha Rani will be seated on a stool and brought to Masuria Devi Temple, Kidganj and will be seated on the silver howdah of the elephant and the procession will be inaugurated while performing aarti. Media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani said that the procession will have banner, band baja, victory flag, DJ band, etc.
Along with the Chauki of Lord Ganesha, Hanuman Ji Maharaj, Lord Bholenath, Mata Durga, Radha Rani, dozens of Chaukis with beautiful tableaus based on the life of Lord Shri Krishna will be included, which will pass through their traditional route, Shankar Lal Bhargav Road, Arya Kanya Chauraha, Mutthi Ganj, Keetganj Triveni Marg and will culminate at the Masurian Devi Temple. And the fair will be equipped with attractive electric lighting
