Prayagraj: Seva Bharti, Prayag South Division, organized a grand mass Kanya Vandan ceremony at Hanuman Vatika, Sulem Sarai, Dhummanganj, on Sunday, on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri. 351 young girls, embodying the spirit of Shakti, were ritually worshipped at the ceremony. Most of the girls arrived from various Seva Bharti centers. The girls were respectfully greeted by washing their feet and applying tilak. Their aarti was performed, flowers were showered, and along with the worship, they were also presented with attractive gifts. They were distributed plates, bowls, spoons, glasses, robes, and dakshina (donations). The keynote speaker at the Kanya Vandan ceremony was Virendra, Regional Incharge of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The chief guest was Mahant Sant Yamunapuri Ji Maharaj of the Alopshankari Temple, Shri Panchayati Akhara, Daraganj, Prayag. Social activist Dr. Sushil Sinha, former president of the Kayastha Pathshala, was the welcome speaker. Special guests included Satya Vijay Singh, the Sangh’s provincial service chief, and Dr. Sanjay Singh, the department incharge of the Prayagraj division. The guests inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. Samridhi Srivastava performed a solo song. Guests were welcomed with robes.
RSS Regional Incharge Virendra discussed the Sangh’s journey over a hundred years. He said that Sangh volunteers have always stood at the forefront of society during times of disaster, no matter what the circumstances.

Mahant Sant Yamunapuri Maharaj highlighted the importance of worshipping girls in Sanatan culture. He said that Seva Bharti performs various types of service work and that our country has been worshipping Shakti since time immemorial.
Dr. Sushil Sinha said that Seva Bharati has always performed social service during natural disasters. Seva Bharati’s Kanya Pujan program is highly commendable. He congratulated Seva Bharati Prayag South Division for its successful organization. Guests were welcomed with robes by Seva Bharati General Secretary Pawan Srivastava, Department Service Chief Veer Krishna Srivastava, and High Court In-charge Government Advocate Patanjali Mishra. The program was conducted by Seva Bharati Department President Sujit Singh. The vote of thanks was given by Seva Bharati Prayag South Division President Amit Kumar. Maurya, Department Publicity Officer Subandhu, District Publicity Officer Dr. Devdutt, former Principal and Patron of Seva Bharati Dr. S.P. Singh, Minister Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Division Service Chief Satyendra Tiwari, Co-Division Service Chief Devesh, Division Publicity Chief Krishna Manohar, Sunil Kumar Singh, Narendra Srivastava, Krishna Dutt Mishra, Santosh Mishra, Vijay Pandey, and H.C. Mishra were present on the occasion. Sandeep Chaudhary, Dr. Kanchan Chaudhary, Ravinath Tiwari, Manav Chaurasia etc. were present.
