Prayagraj: The Sri Sri Bal Ram Ramlila Samiti in Civil Lines staged the abduction of Sita on Sunday. Ravana, disguised as a sage, abducted Sita. In an attempt to stop this, the vulture king Jatayu sacrificed his life. In the Ramlila performance, it was shown that Maricha, disguised as a golden deer, approached Panchavati. At Sita’s request, Lord Rama went hunting for it. After Rama left, Lakshmana drew a line around Sita, warned her not to leave, and followed Rama. Meanwhile, Ravana, the king of Lanka, disguised as a sage, arrived at Panchavati and asked Sita for alms. As soon as Sita crossed the line, Ravana reappeared in his true form and abducted her.
When Ravana was taking away Sita, the vulture king Jatayu tried to stop him. Jatayu fought valiantly but was seriously injured by Ravana and was on the verge of death. When Ram and Lakshman returned, they got complete information about Sita’s abduction from Jatayu. Jatayu gave up his life in Lord Ram’s lap. In the subsequent episode, the killing of the demon Kabandha, Ram’s meeting and friendship with Sugreev, Hanuman, Jambavan, Nala-Nile etc. on Kishkindha mountain were enacted. Ram took assurance of cooperation from the monkey army in the search for Sita.
Before the commencement of Ramlila, the Aarti program of Lord Ram Laxman was started. During this program, the chief patron of the committee Anil Gupta, patron Dr. Subhash K Yadav, president Amit Singh, secretary Ajit Jaiswal, manager Shankar Suman, Arvind Yadav, vice president Vishal Kanaujia, vice president Neeraj Kheda Pawan ji Srivastava, director Jagdish Bandhu, Anant Dubey, Banti Dubey, Pankaj Chaudhary etc. were present.
