Rahul Rajpal’s All-Round Performance Shines in Sangam Premier League

Prayagraj: Justice S.N. Dwivedi XI defeated Justice Yashoda Nandan XI by 58 runs to win the inaugural match of the Sangam Premier League organized for the Anand Shukla Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In the tournament that commenced on Wednesday at K.P. College Ground, Justice S.N. Dwivedi XI won the toss and scored 269 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs. Rahul Rajpal top-scored with 75 runs, while Tejas Mishra scored 39 runs. Sachin Tiwari and Krishna Sahu contributed 26 runs each, Devansh Pathak scored 24, and Sumit Agarwal added 23 runs. For Justice Yashoda Nandan XI, Akhil Kumar Kashyap took 3 wickets for 45 runs, Badal Kumar claimed 2 for 25, while Rudraksh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and Vidhyansh picked up one wicket each.

In reply, Justice Yashoda Nandan XI were all out for 211 runs in 38.1 overs. Madhukar Shukla scored 56 runs, Akhil Kumar Kashyap made 46 runs, Yuvraj Singh added 22, and Akhilesh Yadav scored 21 runs. Vishal Yadav took 4 wickets for 41 runs, Rahul Rajpal claimed 2 for 37, while Shreyas Singh, Aditya Maurya, Harsh Sharma, and Siddharth Mishra took one wicket each.

Rahul Rajpal was awarded the Man of the Match by Dr. Umar Hasan, Joint Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. The match was officiated by umpires Shishir Malhotra and A. Tiwari, while Khursheed Ahmad and Ankit Pandey were scorer. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Rakesh Pandey, President of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, who met the players prior to starting of the match. Dr. Umar Hasan, Joint Secretary UPCA, was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Suresh Dwivedi, Director and Chairman of the League Committee, Allahabad Cricket Association, welcomed the Chief Guest with a shawl, while Director Dr. Julie Ojha presented a bouquet. The proceedings were conducted by Director R.P. Bhatnagar. Among those present on the occasion were S.D. Kautilya, Narayan Ji Gopal, Anurag Srivastava, L.B. Kala, Utpal Das, Someshwar Pandey, Ajay Kushwaha, Vivek Singh, Rakesh Mishra, Uday Pratap Singh, Dheeraj Awasthi etc.
