Prayagraj: Promising soft tennis players from the district were felicitated for their outstanding performances at Asian-level championships during a prize distribution ceremony organised under the banner of the Prayagraj District Soft Tennis Championship 2026 at the Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Muskaan Yadav brought laurels to the country by winning a bronze medal at the 9th Asian Soft Tennis Championship 2025 held in Mungyeong, Korea, from September 13 to 23, 2025. Her achievement marks a significant milestone in her sporting career and highlights the growing talent emerging from Prayagraj in soft tennis.

Raj Pandey also secured a bronze medal at the Junior Asian Championship 2026 organised in Ludhiana between February 3 and February 8. His performance added to the district’s pride, showcasing consistency and determination at the international level.

Meanwhile, Prashant Patel represented the country at the Asian Junior Championship 2026 in Ludhiana, demonstrating commendable effort and competitive spirit on an international platform. During the ceremony, prizes were distributed to Muskaan Yadav and Raj Pandey in recognition of their achievements in Asian championships. The event celebrated their dedication, discipline, and contribution to the sport.

Justice Tej Pratap Tiwari of the Allahabad High Court graced the occasion as the chief guest and felicitated the players. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the athletes for their hard work and encouraged young sportspersons to pursue excellence with commitment.
