Prayagraj: Students of Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir celebrated Labor Day with warmth and gratitude and honored the invaluable yet often unnoticed contribution of the support staff of the school. The morning assembly witnessed some beautiful presentations by the students of different classes on the significance of this day. A special program was organized in the Raman Hall, where the students welcomed the support staff by applying tika and presented flowers bouquet. The school choir set the tone with a melodious song on harmony and interdependence. This was followed by a rhythmic poem recited by Anika of Class 7 & Abhilash of class 8 that highlighted the dignity of labour. Ananya Singh of Class 10 then delivered a thought provoking speech that emphasized on respect for all work. On this occasion, the senior teacher Ms. Vineeta Singh addressed the support staff of the school and acknowledged their hard work as well as dutifulness for the institution.
Students from various classes also joined in some activities and celebrated this day. Class 6 students expressed thanks through handmade gratitude cards whereas Class 7 penned impactful slogans on the importance of Labor Day, and Class 8 prepared beautiful paper-flower bouquets and presented them to all the support staff of the school. The Principal Mrs. Alpona Dey thanked the support staff for their tireless efforts and contribution to the foundation of school’s smooth academic functioning. She encouraged the students to uphold the value of respecting the dignity of labor in every field of work.
