Prayagraj: A grand chess competition for students up to Class 12 was organized by the K.C. Saxena Foundation Public Educational and Charitable Trust at S.S.S. Balika Vidyalaya, Lukerganj, on Sunday. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Suresh Nigam and Guest of Honor, BJP Corporator Ashish Dwivedi. They distributed prizes and certificates to the winners. Abid Ali, Dheeraj Saxena, and Dinesh Sinha served as arbiters for the competition.

The first prize—comprising a cash award of Rs. 4,000 and a trophy—was won by Shivay Singh of Aryan International School. The second prize went to Anubhav Kushwaha of Khelgaon Public School; the third prize to Abhishek Kesharwani of Patanjali Rishikul; and the fourth prize to Niti Singh of GHS.

Pramod Kumar (IPS), President of the K.C. Saxena Foundation, stated that the objective of the competition was to foster intellectual capacity, logical reasoning, concentration, and sportsmanship among students. Students from various schools participated in the event. The successful organization of the competition was significantly aided by the Trust’s Secretary Kaushal Saxena, S.S. Balika’s Manager Shobha Darbari, Dr. Anjani Saxena, and Manoj Saxena, President of the Saxena Sabha. A total of 17 prizes were distributed across various categories during the competition.
