Prayagraj: Continuing a tradition observed every year, the North Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (Headquarters, Prayagraj) inaugurated its Summer Hobby Courses for the children of railway officers and employees—as well as those of non-railway staff—on May 18, 2026. The courses were formally launched by the organization’s President, Mrs. Hima Chauhan Singh. Classes for these courses are being held at ‘Kalrav’ in the Railgaon Colony, Subedarganj. Running until June 6, 2026, the Summer Hobby Courses will feature instruction in skating, Taekwondo, arts and crafts, and dance, conducted by trained instructors.
The objective behind organizing this Summer Hobby Camp is to provide children with a safe and secure environment where they can discover their potential and spend their time constructively. Furthermore, most of the camp’s activities are designed to foster creative skills in children while simultaneously enhancing their physical flexibility. This helps in cultivating a sense of self-confidence and capability—qualities that serve as essential building blocks for independence in adulthood.
Present on this occasion were the organization’s Secretary, Mrs. Sadhana Kumar, along with Mrs. Supriya Sinha, Mrs. Shruti Sachan, Mrs. Sangeeta Dwivedi, Mrs. Renu Ponia, Mrs. Rajni Chandrayan, Mrs. Rakhi Dwivedi, Mrs. Charu Gupta, Mrs. Bhavna Singh, and Mrs. Yusra Yusuf
