Civil Lines police showing gross negligence in taking action against goons

Prayagraj: Based on a complaint by Jeet Lal Yadav regarding a two-story pre-constructed building at Building No. 8, Part Stanley Road, a show-cause notice was issued on June 16, 2021, under Section 27(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973. Due to the builder’s failure to appear at the hearing and submitting approved maps, a notice to demolish the unauthorized construction was issued on November 15, 2021, as per the provisions of the Act. The opponent has not removed the previously constructed construction and is residing in it. Due to the non-removal of the previously constructed construction from the scene and the presence of a residence, the sealing order was passed under Section 28(a) of the Act, sealing the illegal previously constructed construction on May 18, 2026, and the sealed premises were handed over to police custody on May 18, 2026. The seal placed at the site has been completely damaged by the opponent/builder. Thus, the opponent has obstructed the authority’s work, which constitutes a crime. Now, there are hushed whispers among the public that the Civil Lines police are being lenient on those who openly flout administrative rules and regulations.
