Prayagraj: Chandra Shekhar Azad had sacrificed his life fighting the British for the country on this day in Company Bagh. Environment Board Chairperson Lion Mala Mishra and members paid floral tributes and remembered his sacrifice for the country and on this occasion planted 20 fruitful shady trees. The plants included mango, jamun, gulmohar, Ashoka etc. Senior members of Lions Club Allahabad Ashok Greater and Cantt were present in large numbers after planting the trees. Chief Media Incharge Lalu Mittal raised slogans remembering the son of Mother India, brave revolutionary Azad ji on his birth anniversary.

Under the banner of Lions International, everyone has resolved to take regular morning walks in Company Bagh as well as take care of the planted trees. While planting trees, under the leadership of Environment Chairperson Lion Mala Mishra, Lion Radhe Marwa, Lion Sudhir Kumar, Region Chairperson Lion Rajkumar Sahu, Lion Sushma Sahu, Lion Dhirendra Mishra, Lion Sanjay Gupta, Lion Shalini Gupta, Lion Sunil Gupta, Lion Lalu Mittal, Lion Sunil Chhibber, Lion Nisha Chhibber were present. Everyone took a pledge to keep the environment safe and also took an oath not to use plastic.
