Prayagraj: The Executive Council of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi University decided, in the larger interest of students to offer programmes of the Departments of Women Studies and Film Studies at the Wardha headquarters from the academic session 2027–28. The Executive Council was informed that the Ph.D. admission process for the 2022–23 academic session has been completed. The Ph.D. admission process for the new academic session has also been initiated.

The Executive Council was also informed that certificate and diploma programmes will continue in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of a one-year programme, while a diploma will be awarded upon completion of a two-year programme on exit. At the Executive Council meeting held today at the Wardha campus in blended mode, it was also decided to declare February 19 a holiday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumud Sharma. The Executive Council also approved the appointments of new Heads of Departments and new faculty members, as well as the promotions granted under the Career Advancement Scheme. The Council gave  approval in-principle for the establishment of a Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Research Chair at the University. External member Prof. Surendra Dubey participated in the meeting in person, while the other external members joined online.
