Prayagraj: A grand programme of family enlightenment, family reunion and Sanskrit culture awakening was organised today by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the premises of the ancient Shri Nandeshwar Mahadev temple located in Ward No. 54, Nandgaon Colony of the western area of Prayagraj city. The main objective of the program was to strengthen the Indian family system, instill values in children, and foster an interest in the Sanskrit language. The temple courtyard was beautifully decorated, and the program began amid chanting of Vedic mantras.
Prominent attendees at the event: Senior pracharaks Shri Ashok Upadhyay, Shri Manish Ji, and Dr. Surendra Pal Singh were the main guests. The program was conducted by Shri Jai Narayan Ji. Key workers from the temple committee and the community, including Shri Manish Niranjan, Sanjay Singh, Saroj Tiwari, Manoj Singh, Yogesh Tripathi, R.P. Mishra, Rajiv Mishra, Jagdish Singh Bundela, Punasheel Pandey, Kamlesh Mishra, and Shitala Pandey, participated enthusiastically and managed the arrangements. The evening was a confluence of culture and traditions: Hundreds of families from the colony participated with their entire families. Children recited Sanskrit verses, patriotic songs, and performed traditional cultural performances.
Speakers stated that in today’s era, when nuclear families and mobile culture are on the rise, the greatest need is to teach families to eat together, communicate, and stay connected to their roots through family enlightenment. Sanskrit is not just a language, but a culture. Dr. Surendra Pal Singh stated that the family is the smallest unit of society; if the family is strong, the nation will automatically be strong. Ashok Upadhyay elaborated on the five points of family enlightenment: bhajans, meals, excursions, discussions, and the use of Sanskrit. At the end of the program, all the families recited the Hanuman Chalisa together, and the program concluded with the distribution of prasad. The residents of the colony were very enthusiastic about this event.
