Prayagraj: A large-scale campaign was launched by the electricity department to stop electricity theft in Prayagraj. On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Government and Power Corporation, this action was taken under the leadership of Chief Engineer Pramod Kumar Singh and Executive Engineer Karelabagh Ranjan Prashad under Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam. Subdivision Officer Rajveer Singh Kataria and Junior Engineer Mohammad Imran in Enuddinpur of Kareli area. Conducted a checking campaign with the team. During this period, nine people were caught stealing electricity. The Junior Engineer took action against everyone under Section 135 of the Electricity Theft Act. After the posting of Sub-Divisional Officer Rajveer Singh Kataria in Kareli/Karailabagh area, improvement in the electricity system has been seen. The work of replacing dilapidated wires and electric poles is being done rapidly. Apart from this, the problem of bunch cable has also been solved on priority. Through this campaign, the electricity department has not only taken steps towards stopping theft but has also strengthened the electricity supply of the area.
