Celebrated Easter with grandeur and lighted ancestors’ graves at cemeteries
Prayagraj: On the occasion of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection, Bishop Dan attended a special prayer service at All Saints Cathedral and administered the Lord’s Supper. Bishop Dan stated on this occasion, while congratulating and wishing everyone a Happy Resurrection Day, that Jesus Christ glorified God through his life and death. His resurrection brought life to the earth and its adherents, as well as the church’s hope and confidence in eternal life. The living God lives and travels beside us. His blessings and affection are transforming our lives and societies.
Easter celebrations began on Sunday with a Dawn Service featuring a drama depicting Jesus Christ’s resurrection. In the same sequence, people celebrated Jesus’ resurrection with lights in their hands in the morning at the city’s All Saints Cathedral Church. Rev. Dr. Vinita Eusebius oversaw the program. On this occasion, the youth and church members sang wonderful songs before Bishop Morris Edgar Dan of the Diocese of Lucknow addressed the Easter Church Service at 9:30 a.m. He said that in 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, Paul states that the physical resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith.
If Christ had not risen from the grave, Christian faith and apostles’ teaching would be null and meaningless, the church would still be in sin, and those who slept in Christ would have died. This idea divides Christians from all other religions.
Lord Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection demonstrate His role as the world’s Savior and Redeemer. This demonstrates that if Christ defies death and comes back to life, so will all who trust in him. He stated as much. Bishop Morris Edgar Dan, speaking specifically to the young, stated that we must revitalize ourselves every day. We who dispute with our parents, siblings, and spouse and do not respect them are all pushing us away from Christian life.
If we truly want to learn from Lord Jesus’ life, we must forget about the past and resuscitate ourselves. During this time, the Papal Prayer was said, and Holy Communion was served. In the same time, an Easter Church service was held in St. Peter’s Church in Muirabad, led by Pastor Praveen Massey, with enthusiastic participation from everyone. The chapel was ornamented with stunningly brilliant fringes that drew in every visitor. During the Easter service, the Bible chapters Matthew 28:1–8 and Mark 16:1-4 were read.
Pastor Praveen Massey delivered the passage, which states that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of Christian life and faith. The life of Lord Jesus was like a light in the darkness for the salvation of mankind. Joy was seen in the Christian community on the occasion of Easter at St. John’s Church on Katju Road. The children of the Church Sunday School presented melodious songs and pleasing dances like ‘Har Andande Ka Ujaala Tu…’ under the guidance of teachers Richa Alice Nath and Sylvia Prasad. Church Pastor William H Prasad meditated on the Christian life and the resurrection of Jesus and told very special things and also thanked the children and the elderly. After the Easter Church Service in all the churches, people wished each other on the festival and clicked selfies. Bishop Morris Edgar Dan also had a lot of fun with the children and also thanked the administration. During this, Principal Sanjeet Lal, Namrata Lal, Kamla Singh, Priyadarshini Singh, Dr. Vishal Singh, Alan Dan, Preksha Dan, Vimal Prasad, Mavis Prasad, Donald David, Ajay Grey, Royal Prasad, DK Ghosh, Rita Srivastava, Jaswant Daniel, Ajay Masih, Ashish Wilson, Mudit Mohan Srivastava, Ajay David, Sangeeta Haq, Akash Tripathi, Sunil Verma, Rakesh etc. were present.
